Yeticorn 10 (Throwback: Mugato)

Star Trek's Mugato, pronounced "mu-GAT-u", was discussed way back in 2006 on this blog and then again in 2011.

I think it's about time to throw it back.

Fun Fact: Gumato was its original name in the script, but DeForest Kelley could not pronounce the name correctly so they changed it to Mugato, only he and Shatner pronounced it  "mu-GAT-u" for some reason all through the episode.

Yeticorn 8 (Destination: China)

Journey with me to China to observe a monster from the 1964 Cantonese film: Buddha’s Palm.

I believe this is the the first recorded instance of a Yeticorn!

It predates the Mugato by 4 years. Note: I don't count the 1936 Flash Gordon's Orangapoid, which isn't yeti-ish enough.

Did you know?  The Buddha's Palm yeticorn can spit lasers that instantly skeletonize its target. And for that, I must tip my hat!
